Old port Montreal is definitely one of the most common and classic places for engagement photoshoot and Wedding day photography.
And Old Montreal is popular and well known for its unique architecture and green space, it's a unique location where you can find so many hidden gems. However as mentioned, since it is one of the quite well-known tourist locations, It may be extremely crowded during the summer and busy wedding season. However, it still remains as one of our favorite downtown wedding photo locations (Especially during rainy day or when you have your venue booked close by, such as Theatre Saint James, Gare Viger, Montreal Science Centre, Crew Cafe, Marche Bonsecours, Hotel Nelligan, World-trade Centre, and Hotel Intercontinental, Hotel William Gray... )

Oratoire Saint-Joseph

If you’re looking for something with more of an architectural oomph, The Oratoire Saint-Joseph is definitely the way to go. With gorgeous historic Architectural that look nothing like most of Montreal, this area provides plenty of photographic opportunities and is often overlooked.

This nature park is one of the more well-known portrait locations, but the combination of its size and the fact that it’s not on the island of Montreal (it’s in Laval) means that it never feels crowded, even when there are lots of people there. The grounds are always kept in great shape and there are plenty of large, shaded areas for group photos. There is also a pond with wooden walkways and a gazebo.
